Tara Arts is committed to enabling formal and informal education though the arts. We produce regular tours to junior schools, with specially created shows of classics for children, provide supporting Education Resource Packs and run theatre participation projects for young people.
Teachers can download our Education Resource Packs, for free, from our website by selecting the Archive menu and Articles. Tara Arts Education Resource Packs are tailored to support teaching through the National Curriculum at Key Stages 2 to 4. Education Resource Pack are focussed on teaching across the curriculum including English, Theatre Studies, History, Citizenship and Religious Studies. Teachers and educationalists are advised to see each pack for National Curriculum details.
Tara Arts Education Resource Packs include: When the Lights Went Out (the story of Divali), Hanif Kureishi's The Black Album, Sailing to Britian (the untold story of Lascars), Slavery (marking the abolition of the slave trade), Bully Richard (inspired by Richard III), Shakespeare's The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice and People's Romeo, Beaumarchais' The Marriage of Figaro and Ibsen's An Enemy of the People. Tara Arts' Education Resource Packs are produced by our Education Consultant, Helen Cadbury.
